The customer's issue
The client is moving to a new office building. The work of the organization takes place in the office, which is located on the second floor. This is a standard office environment, furnished with fixed desktop computers, laptops (which are taken home daily) a conference room with monitors, and fixed telephones.
In this building, the client would also like to store its collection of special wines. For this purpose, a special room will be set up on the first floor. The wines have a value of up to €750,000 and will be stored in special temperature-controlled cabinets.
The insurance company requires, for the storage of special wines, that the security of the premises be installed by an authorized company and that the security be certified according to the corresponding risk class.
The customer wants the security to be installed according to the guidelines of the insurance company. Also, the storage area should not be directly accessible to visitors and office staff.
The solution

Subsequently, the advisor of MKB Secure drew up a security plan according to the measures of the VRKI 2022 2.0. For the attractive value of the wines, we arrive at a risk class 3. It is not necessary to complete the entire property according to risk class 3, which would involve additional costs. In this case we work with a combination of measures, in which the structural measures are brought to the right level. MKB Secure also provides an intrusion detection system in combination with an approved fog generator. The fog generator ensures that the attractive wines are stored away.
Combined with glass breakage and vibration detectors all around on the first floor, we ensured that a burglary is immediately detected at the first attack on the property. When the alarm is verified, the fog generator takes away the view of the attractive goods.
Meanwhile, our monitoring center is also aware of the alarm and ensures that a response takes place by immediately calling in the local police and notifying the owner and alarm follow-up service.
The offices will be equipped with approved spatial detectors equipped with anti-mask detection. By dividing the system into blocks, it is possible to switch the 1st floor office and the wines on the first floor separately. In this way, the wines remain accessible only to those with access to this space.
After the technician has applied the security measures, the consultant from SME Secure provides a complete package of documentation. This includes the delivery documents, the security plan and the intake document. When everything is in order, the advisor takes care of requesting the quality document (certificate) This is sent by mail.
